Wild Dogs
Born Livingstone Northern Rhodesia (Zambia). Father dairy farmer. Parents returned to South Africa and from the age of five, we lived
in the Eastern Cape. After my marriage in 1956 moved back to Zambia and lived on the Copperbelt in Kitwe and Chingola for a period of 11 years.
From an early age I loved drawing which lead to oils and that is where my painting began and have loved painting ever since.
Annual Exhibitions - East London, Queenstown, King Williams Town and Grahamstown during 70/80/90's.
Solos Exhibitions - City Hall East London 1981; Ann Bryant Gallery 1986
Also exhibited International Gallery Cape Town 1999
1982 Grahamstown Annual Exhibition Top 50 works chosen to tour. Two of mine "Rock Pool" and Mountain Lake" were selected.
1985 Watercolour "Desert Scene" purchased by Queenstown Municipality for their permanent collection at JC Marshall Gallery.
I enjoy the SA sunshine, love the bush, animals which are often reflected in my work. My art has improved over the years from associating with other artists.
Also attended five (2 week) working holidays at Monte Sources under the guidance of well-known SA Artists - Lucy Wiles, Dale Elliott, George Boyes and others.
I enjoy using pallet knife and tend to use this method in an abstract way.
