He has painted scenes from the Wild Coast, Natal Drakensberg, Magaliesberg, Pilanesberg, Kruger Park, and his favourite Wilderness of the Kalahari in Botswana, where he farmed until recently, and his Family all live, and also Namibia.
The strongest influence in my life was growing up in, and getting to know, the untouched Wilderness of the Kalahari in Botswana, in the early 1950ís. Hunting with Bushman as a small boy, and Farming as a young man, taught me a respect and love for that never ending Savannah of that great Wilderness, never to be seen again on the same untouched and vast scale. I thank our Maker for that privilege of seeing it then, and now for the opportunity to express that love in my artwork..
